Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) is likely to procure a record 210 lakh litres per day by January 2016, reports a business daily.

The peak milk producing season has begun with the onset of winter.

The GCMMF is not raising the procurement prices for milk in Gujarat at least for the next few months; a top official of the milk cooperative is quoted as saying.

According to GCMMF MD R.S Sodhi, the milk cooperative already collects 193 LLPD of milk daily. This year procurement is likely to count 14 percent more than the last year, he said.
