AHDC in touch with Amul India for technical guidance, commissioning pasteurizing plant soon
Leh (Ladakh), December 6, (Scoop News)-To boost the milk production and trade in Leh district, Ladakh Autonomous Hill development Council (LAHDC)-Leh is in touch with Amul India to lead the milk sector to new heights in the region.
Chief Executive Councillor, Dr Sonam Dawa, said the Council is planning to start the pasteurization plant and other machines of Animal Husbandry department soon which will immensely benefit the farmers. He said the region produces sufficient milk to fulfill its needs and the same is to be channelized.
“Technical guidance will be sought for augmenting production besides marketing of the produce will be sought from Amul India,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jigmit Namgyal was elected as president of Bhartiya Janta Yuwa Morcha (BJYM), Kharu Mandal (unit). The elections were held under aegis of Tsewang Gonbo, BJP president- Leh unit and Tashi Gyaltson, president of BJYM- Leh district.
Stobgal Sakti, Padma Thinley Martselan, Kanchok Namgyal Chemdry and Nawang Tsering Gya were elected as vice presidents during an election meeting organized by Kharu Mandal. Other elected were Thinles Dorjey as general secretary and Wangchuk Igoo as joint secretary.
Highlighting, the standing of youth in politics, councilor Chushul, Koneko Stanzin, said the formation of BJYM at all Mandals (Units) will help public at grassroots level to make understand the schemes launched by the BJP led at the Centre.
Councillor Martseling, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, charged Congress of being a party of family and said that BJP is a party with democracy. Councillor Sakit Gyalpo Wangyal said that all three councilors of Kharu sub division are focusing on bringing prosperity into the area rather than keep talking about their respective individual constituencies.
